  • I've been studying Genesis, the first book of the Bible, this is interesting to think on.....the first two people had this perfect relationship with God going on and lived in a perfect place, then they disobeyed God and sin and death entered the world.  They had two sons, the one son became jealous of the other and killed him.  Then this son, Cain, lied to God.   So, with the first four people on earth, the following sins entered their perfect world:  lust of the eyes, disobedience, lying, murder, jealousy, pride....if you look close enough I'm sure you can find others.  We need to ask ourself what we live with today that is a result of these above mentioned sins.   All of the negative things we deal with in our world are a result of sin, not caused by an unloving God.  When we choose to reject God, we choose to lose out on all the things God promises those who choose to follow Him.
Read this little blurb on sin:
Sin is a thing I am born with and I cannot touch it; God touches sin in
Redemption. In the Cross of Jesus Christ God redeemed the whole human race
from the possibility of damnation through the heredity of sin. God nowhere
holds a man responsible for having the heredity of sin. The condemnation
is not that I am born with a heredity of sin, but if when I realize Jesus
Christ came to deliver me from it, I refuse to let Him do so, from that
moment I begin to get the seal of damnation. "And this is the judgment"
(the critical moment), "that the light is come into the world, and men
loved the darkness rather than the light."

Those of you who are living in darkness is by your own choice.  We all could be making that choice, but many of us are choosing to hold on tightly to God's hand, the One who holds the stars in the skies and calls the winds by name.   Say no to "self pity" and yes to God.

If you get a chance, listen to Nicole C. Mullen's song:  One Touch.....( on You Tube called A New Touching Song) ....close your eyes and let the words embrace you!

  • Currently: Healing Rain
Today I looked up this word and thought it might help some of you too : ))

Makrothumeo is the Greek word for PATIENCE, here is the definiton:

    1.  to be of a long spirit,  not to lose heart
         a.  to persevere patiently and bravely in enduring  misfortunes and troubles
         b.  to be patient in bearing the offenes and injuries of others
              1.  to be  mild and slow in avenging
              2.  to be longsuffering, slow to anger, slow to punish

Then I heard a speaker, Joyce Meyer's talk about how we have the seed of patience in us.  Do you know how to get that seed?

Who holds the stars in the sky?  Who calls the rain and the snow from His storehouses?  Who made man in His image?   Think about these things.

  • Life can be so good
    Life can be so hard
    Never knowing what each day
Will bring to where you are
    Sometimes I forget
    And sometimes I can't see
    That whatever comes my way
    You'll be with me

My life is in your hands
My heart is in your keeping
    I'm never without hope
Not when my future is with you

My life is in your hands
And though I may not see clearly
I will lift my voice and sing
Cause your love does amazing things
Lord, I know, my life is in your hands

    Nothing is for sure
    Nothing is for keeps
All I know is that your love
    Will live eternally
So I will find my rest,
And I will find my peace
Knowing that you'll meet my every need

My life is in your hands
My heart is in your keeping
    I'm never without hope
Not when my future is with you

My life is in your hands
And though I may not see clearly
I will lift my voice and sing
Cause your love does amazing things
Lord, I know, my life is in your hands

When I'm at my weakest Lord
    You carry me
Then I become my strongest Lord
    In your hands

My life is in your hands
And though I may not see clearly
I will lift my voice and sing
Cause your love does amazing things
Lord, I know, my life is in your hands
    I trust you Lord
My life is in your hands

  • From a super fantasy story called Inkheart:

( Mo shrugged his shoulders and looked up at the ceiling, where a few moths were fluttering around the naked lightbulb.  " No doubt Capricorn has promised to take him back," he said.  " Unlike me, he realized that Dustfinger would do anything in return for such a promise.  All he wants is to go back to his own world.  He doesn't even stop to ask if his story there has a happy ending!") p. 145 in book, Inkheart by Cornelia Funke.

Do you ever stop to ask yourself, if your own life story has a happy ending or not?  If not, why not?  Think on this question:  Why would God create us to have human relationships that are rich and meaningful and then just have all of them come to an end?  Why would God have created us to have a relationship with Him that would just end when we die?

Please share some of your responses to these questions with me as you feel led  : ))

  • Why am I so sad?
    Why am I so upset?
I should put my hope in God,
    And keep praising Him.
    My Saviour and my God.

    Psalm 42:5

Why do you put your hope in God?
Why don't you put your hope in God?
Do you believe God can help you to be joyful in spite of bad situations in life?  Share why?

About Me

  • I love how God uses me in so many lives in spite of my mistakes, shortcomings, and my failures. The Lord has created each of us for a great purpose, and we were ransomed at a great price! ( 1 Corinthians 6:19-20)
